Chris Craft Yachts
240-248 Express Cruiser
1999–2000
The Chris-Craft 248 Express Cruiser is the result of Chris-Craft's experience in providing boat owners with giant-size features in compact packages. The 248 has an amazing array of convenience features for an express cruiser of its size. It sleeps four with a roomy forward V-berth, plus it offers a dinette table that converts to a double bed. It has a generously proportioned galley with stove, sink, icebox, and ample cabinets. Its head compartment has a portable toilet, vanity sink, and hand-held shower. The list of standard features is exciting. There are also some exciting options for extended overnight cruising usually found only on much larger craft. (Manufacturer Provided Description)
EDITOR NOTES: Surprisingly spirited performance separates this otherwise-generic family cruiser from the rest of the pack. A spacious cockpit is this boat’s most notable feature. Note easy engine access. Cruise at 30 mph and top out in the mid-to-high 40s with optional 280hp Volvo engine. Called the 240 Express in 1999 and the 248 Express in 2000.
