Century 2900-2901 Center Console
A popular family fishing boat, the Century 2901 CC began life back in 2000 when she was introduced as the Century 2900. In 2007 she was rebadged as the Century 2901, and in 2009 production ended when parent company Yamaha ceased their boat building operations. Fast forward to 2013—Century Boats, now under new ownership, resumed production of the 2901 with equipment and cosmetic updates. Where the original 2900 featured a casting deck forward, the 2901’s wraparound bow seating makes her a more versatile, family focused center console. Fishing amenities include an oversized 62-gallon baitwell, lockable rod storage, tilt-out tackle trays and two 277-quart fish boxes—among the largest in its class. The boat also features six gunwale rod holders and an enclosed electric head with freshwater shower. The oversized console has steps leading down to a roomy head compartment with cabinet, sliding drawers, sink, and a small berth pad that extends under the forward deck over 6 feet in length. With 280 gallons of fuel the 2901 has plenty of range. No lightweight, Yamaha F300 outboards top out at close to 50 knots.
