Celebrity

26 Crownline; 268 Sport Cruiser

1987–89

Celebrity 26 Crownline; 268 Sport Cruiser
Introduced in 1987 as the 26 Crownline, Celebrity called this model the 268 Sport Cruiser in 1988–89 and the 270 Sport Cruiser in 1990. While her styling is obviously dated by today’s standards, she was a fairly popular boat for Celebrity during her production years and used models are not uncommon in many markets. She rides on a solid fiberglass hull with high freeboard, moderate beam, and a relatively steep 18 degrees of transom deadrise. Note the droop-nose profile and dramatic hull graphics. The midcabin interior is arranged with double berths fore and aft along with a pullout settee which can sleep two adults. Privacy curtains separate the sleeping areas from the salon, and headroom in the galley and head compartment is just about 6 feet. Storage is provided by an assortment of drawers, bins, and cabinets located throughout the main cabin. There’s plenty of seating topside including a doublewide helm seat and two folding bench seats in the aft part of the cockpit. A transom door, bow pulpit and teak swim platform were standard. A good-running boat, a single 260hp MerCruiser sterndrive will cruise efficiently at 22 knots (low 30s wide open).
