Hull was redesigned by David Martin in 2003. See article http://www.powerandmotoryacht.com/boat-tests/cavileer-53-update She rides on a low-deadrise hull with generous beam, cored hullsides, and a solid fiberglass bottom. Below, the Cavileer’s three-stateroom interior is an inviting blend of teak joinery, high-gloss finishes, and designer fabrics. The forward and master staterooms feature full-sized berths, while the port guest stateroom is fitted with upper/lower berths. The galley—with custom flooring and under-counter refrigeration—is forward in the carpeted salon, which also includes an L-shaped sectional sofa, dinette, and full entertainment center forward. A livewell, tackle center with freezer, and fish boxes are standard in the cockpit, and the 53’s huge flybridge can easily accommodate a small crowd. Additional features include a standard washer/dryer, molded bow pulpit, well-arranged engine room, and central vacuum system. A good performer, twin 825hp MTUs cruise the Cavileer 53 in the high 20s and reach a top speed of 32–33 knots.
