Introduced in 2011, this newest Boston Whaler 285 Conquest is an updated version of original 285 Conquest built from 2006 through 2010. Principal changes include an integrated windshield/hardtop design, improved helm visibility, and enhanced cockpit and cabin storage. With a wide 9'6" beam, the Conquest’s cockpit is large enough for fishing, entertaining, or cruising. In the center deck of the cockpit, near the transom, is a mechanical room housing the batteries, generator (optional), and various pumps. Standard features include an anchor locker, windlass two in-deck fish boxes, cockpit bolsters, transom livewell, tackle storage, raw-water washdown, cockpit shower, rod holders (11), cockpit rod storage, power windshield vent, cockpit floodlight, convertible port seat/lounge, foldaway stern seat, bait prep center with sink, and numerous drink holders. Below, the Conquest’s well-finished interior sleeps four and includes a convertible V-berth/dinette forward, mid-cabin berth aft, compact galley with microwave, and an enclosed head with shower. Note the flip-up rod holders in the cabin overhead. Top speed is just shy of 40 knots with twin 225hp Mercury Verados.
