Boston Whaler
280 Vantage
2021–Current
The 280 Vantage is an entry-level dual console designed to deliver exceptional stability, comfort and ease of operation. Replacing Whaler’s popular 270 Vantage (2014–20), the 280 has a slightly wider beam, a more traditional bow shape, and a reworked running surface. Ideal for boaters who want the flexibility of a multi-capable open-bow model, the 280 Vantage comes equipped for a wide range of boating activities, from entertaining to fishing to watersports and beyond. Amenities for socializing include a stowable cockpit grill station, an electrically actuated cockpit SureShade, spacious lounge seating in the bow, and Whaler's uniquely convertible helm companion zone seating. New features make the 280 Vantage a capable fishing boat as well, including integrated stainless steel rod holders, a transom livewell, and two large cockpit fishboxes that double as extra storage for keeping beverages on ice. A portside dive door aids in boarding the boat from the dock or from the water. Options include Mercury joystick piloting and built-in autopilot. Standard power is twin 250hp V8 Mercury Verados which should be good for a top speed of 40–45 knots.
