240 Dauntless

2014–19

While the Dauntless series has always stressed versatility, the design focus of the 240 Dauntless is fishing. The integrated half tower—a standard feature that includes a second helm station and full controls—is perfect for inshore and offshore fishing. Bay-boat style features such as fore and aft casting decks, a livewell built into the forward console seat, six vertical console rod racks, and four deck-mounted aft rodholders are also standard. A second 38-gallon well is located under the aft casting platform. There’s even flat section molded into the bow for mounting an electric trolling motor. The 240’s glass front windshield and side curtains provide great protection from the elements. There are large, well-placed storage spaces and comfortable seating throughout, including Whaler's exclusive flip-up backrests on the bow seats. The entire bow area becomes a casting platform by removing the cushions. Lockable storage under the forward starboard seat is a plus, and a Porta-Potti is standard in the console. Like all Boston Whaler boats, the 240 Dauntless is unsinkable. A single 250hp Mercury Verado will reach a top speed of about 40 knots.
