305 SB Cruiser
1999–2007
The affordably priced Bayliner 305 (called the 3055 Ciera Sunbridge from 1999–2002) is an entry-level family cruiser with several attractive features. With a wide 11-foot beam, the 305 is a roomy boat both inside and out. While the mediocre finish reflects her low price when new, there is still much to admire from the standpoint of comfort and practicality. Headroom is very good in this boat, and a wide beam results in a surprisingly expansive cabin. The mid-cabin floorplan is arranged in the conventional (generic) manner with double berths fore and aft, an enclosed head to port, adequate storage, and a well-equipped galley. In the cockpit, a U-shaped lounge features a removable table and converts to a sun pad. A wet bar/entertainment center is to port, and a transom door opens to the integral swim platform with its retractable swim ladder and built-in shower. Lacking side decks, a walk-through windshield provides access to the bow. A pair of 220hp MerCruiser stern drives cruise in the low 20s (about 30 knots top), and later models with a pair of 300hp Mercs cruise in the high 20s and top out at over 40 knots.
