2860 Trophy Cuddy

One of Bayliner’s early entries into the sportfishing market, the 2860 Trophy was an inexpensive, entry-level fishing boat designed to appeal to the family angler. With her large aft cockpit and roomy bridge deck, the Trophy provides plenty of deck space for several anglers and their gear. There are berths for three below (V berth forward and a portside quarter berth) along with an enclosed, standup head with shower and a compact galley. Topside, a convertible dinette is opposite the helm and a complete bait station is aft of the captain’s seat. Aside from the engine boxes, the single-level cockpit is completely uncluttered and comes with a pair of in-deck fish boxes and padded bolsters. Note that the side decks are very narrow and getting forward will take some care. On the downside, rod storage is lacking, and the Trophy’s fit and finish is marginal at best. Offered with both inboard and sterndrive power, a single 260hp Volvo I/O will cruise at 17–18 knots and reach a top speed in the mid 20s. Optional 225hp Volvo inboards cruise at 20 knots and deliver a top speed of just under 30 knots.
