2855 Ciera Sunbridge
1994–99
Last in a series of successful Bayliner 2855 Ciera Sunbridge models, this boat is actually a makeover of the previous 2855 Ciera SB (1991–93) with updated styling, a revised interior (bigger galley), and increased storage space. The hull is basically the same as the earlier 2855 with an extra inch of beam (according to the factory specs), and slightly more deadrise at the transom. While she’s definitely on the light side compared to similar boats her size, the 2855 rides very well in a chop thanks to her deep-V hull design. The mid-cabin floorplan is arranged in the traditional manner with double berths fore and aft, compact galley, and a booth-style dinette that converts to sleep two. Privacy curtains separate both sleeping areas, and headroom is adequate throughout most of the cabin. Topside, a big U-shaped lounge (with removable table) is opposite the helm. Lacking side decks, a windshield walk-through provides access to the foredeck. Additional features include a slide-out jump seat behind the companion lounge, transom door, sport arch, and molded pulpit. A fuel-efficient boat, a single 300hp sterndrive will cruise at 20 knots (30+ wide open).
