Bayliner Yachts
2855 Ciera Sunbridge
1984–89
A super-popular model during her production years, she was marketed as a budget-priced family cruiser with sleek styling, a wide beam, and a spacious mid-cabin layout. This is a roomy boat below for a 28-footer with good headroom thanks to her raised foredeck and elevated helm. Berths for six are provided together with a standup head compartment, decent counter space, and a full-size galley. The cockpit has plenty of lounge seating for guests and visibility from the helm position is excellent. When she became the Ciera Sunbridge in 1986 the deckhouse was redesigned and raised slightly, and the interior was completely rearranged with a U-shaped dinette to port replacing the previous dinette forward. Built on a lightweight hull, most were sold with a single 260hp Volvo sterndrive engine. She’ll cruise easily at 18 knots and reach a top speed of 26–27 knots. Note that several subsequent 2855 Ciera Sunbridge models were produced by Bayliner.
