2655 Ciera Sunbridge
1988–90
The first of several 2655 models from Bayliner, the original 2655 Ciera Sunbridge (originally called the 2650 Ciera Sunbridge) is a widebody weekender with sharp styling and a very spacious interior for a 26-footer. There were no options offered for this model (except air conditioning), and they all have the same hull graphics, sport arch, and interior colors. The cabin walls and overhead are carpeted—an inexpensive approach to finishing out the interior. With a generous 9'6" of beam, the 2655 Ciera is a roomy boat. The midcabin is tucked below the bridge deck and comes with sitting headroom, a privacy curtain, and opening ports. When the dinette is converted there are sleeping accommodations for four adults and two kids. At 5,100 pounds, the 2655 is a light boat for her size (especially considering that she’s not a trailerable model) and her performance with a single sterndrive engine is surprisingly brisk. The standard 5.7-liter sterndrive engine cruises at 17 knots (about 26 knots top), and optional 7.4-liter engine cruises at 20+ knots and delivers 35–36 knots wide open. Note that since 1991 Bayliner has had two subsequent 2655 Ciera Sunbridge models, both trailerable.
