2503 Trophy Center Console

1996–2001

Once the largest center consoles in the Bayliner’s series of Trophy fishing boats, the 2503 is an inexpensive and well-designed trailerable with clean lines and a long list of standard features. Construction is solid fiberglass and the hull, with 21 degrees of deadrise at the transom, is a true deep-V capable of delivering a soft ride when the seas pick up. At just 4,140 pounds (including a single outboard), the Trophy 2503 is a relatively lightweight package which makes her easier to trailer and launch than many of her heavier competitors. The basic layout includes a head/storage compartment beneath the console, a raised casting platform forward, a couple of in-deck fish boxes just forward of the transom, and a transom bracket/platform with a fresh water shower and ladder. A live well is located under the helm seat, and there are a pair of removable jump seats for the cockpit. Trim tabs and a bow pulpit were standard, and the 2503 has good storage space. A single 225hp bracket-mounted outboard will deliver a cruising speed of 28 knots (about 40 knots top depending on the load), and a pair of 150hp outboards will cruise at 32–33 knots and a top speed of about 42–43 knots.
