2502 Trophy Walkaround
1991–96
The Trophy 2502 is a wide-beam walkaround whose affordable price and roomy layout made her a popular model for Bayliner during her production years. Built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull, the 9-foot, 6-inch beam of the 2502 results in a lot of cockpit space. Standard equipment included an aerated live well, a pair of in-deck fish boxes with macerators, removable jump seats at the stern corners, raw water washdown, numerous rod holders, and a bait-prep station with sink and tackle storage. The cabin, with six-foot-plus headroom near the companionway, is compact but well arranged with an enclosed head compartment, mini-galley, V-berth/dinette forward, and an athwartships double berth under the bridgedeck. Note that unlike most other 25-footers, the 2502 is too wide (by a foot) to be legally trailered without a permit. A good selling boat for Bayliner, a pair of 175hp Mercs will cruise the Trophy 2502 at close to 30 knots and reach a top speed in the neighborhood of 38–40 knots.
