Bayliner Yachts
2450-2455-2651-2655 Ciera Sunbridge
1984–93
Bayliner’s most popular trailerable cruiser for many years, this model began production in 1984 as the 2540 Ciera Sunbridge. (Note that she was called the 2455 Ciera Sunbridge in 1989.) She became the 2651 Ciera Sunbridge in 1990 when a new integral swim platform and a revised floorplan were added, and from 1991 to 1993 she was called the 2655 Ciera Sunbridge Lightly built and inexpensive to own, she came with a long list of standard equipment and ranked among the best buys in her class. Inside, the midcabin floorplan will sleep four and includes a small galley, a removable dinette table, and a stand-up head. Not surprisingly, stowage space is limited. An L-shaped lounge seats four opposite the helm, and a bench seat at the transom folds away for access to the engine. Additional features include a fully cored hull, bow pulpit, and swim ladder. Among several engine options offered over the years, a single 205-hp MerCruiser I/O gas engine will cruise the Bayliner 2566 Ciera Sunbridge at an economical 20 knots (about 8 gph) and reach a top speed of 30–31 knots.
