Acadia
25
1996–2008
The Acadia 25 is a trailerable Downeast-style inboard cruiser whose appeal stems from her traditional lines, economical operation, and affordable price. Built by Atlas Boat Works in Cape Coral, FL, she rides on a solid fiberglass hull with a high bow, a full keel, and a protected prop and rudder. While the large cockpit and open helm of the Acadia makes her a capable fishing boat, she seems more designed for weekend cruising. The below decks accommodations, while basic, include a small galley to port, an enclosed head compartment to starboard, and V-bunks forward, Headroom inside the companionway is about 6'3", and there are four opening ports and an overhead hatch for ventilation. Visibility from the helm is excellent in all directions. Engine access is via a hinged hatch between the helm seats. Additional features include a pressure water system, sliding pilothouse windows, under-gunwale rod storage, and a bow rail. Among several engine choices, a single Yanmar 170hp diesel will cruise the Acadia 25 at 15 knots burning just 4–5 gallons per hour.
