The Viking Yachts 92 – Interior Overview
Viking Yachts’ innovative 92’ sportfish models – the Enclosed Bridge, Skybridge and Convertible, are equally at home cruising up the east coast for a family vacation as they are in Bermuda competing in a hardcore blue marlin tournament.
As Viking president, Pat Healey, told Marlin magazine about the 92′ Convertible—the precursor to the 92’ Sky Bridge and Enclosed Bridge—“We’ve built a remarkable yacht, but it’s a Viking, so it has to fish — and it does. It’s a 92-foot hot rod!”
On the outside, while she predominantly displays the legendary Viking sportfish pedigree and is indeed ready to fish, on the inside she is all world-class motor yacht, setting the standard for her class.
Once inside any Viking 92’, you’ll instantly understand why Viking describes this spacious interior as a “showpiece of elegance and luxury.” The massive 24-foot beam provided copious amount of room for Viking engineers and interior design partner William Bales and Company to play with and maximize the efficiency of the space. With this beautiful, roomy interior, Viking is pushing to deliver superyacht standard accommodations.
ENCLOSED BRIDGE OPTION
A climate-controlled retreat in itself, the enclosed bridge has a forward wrap-around console that features a centerline helm, Stidd helm seat, and flanking companion seating. Significant room aft allows for an L-shape lounge with a walnut cocktail table to port, another seat to starboard, refrigeration, and an entertainment system.
As with all Vikings, the custom communication, navigation, and entertainment electronic package will be designed and installed by Viking sister company, Atlantic Marine Electronics.
SALON | GALLEY
The 24-foot beam allows the salon to transform into a stately, expansive living room that certainly doesn’t feel like you’re on a typical sportfish. The generously spacious salon features built-in dual L-shaped couches facing occasional chairs and plush appointments like a 65-inch flat screen television that rises on a lift out of the walnut cabinetry.
An L-shape island in the galley complements the work area and all countertops feature custom-selected engineered stone. A pair of walk-in pantries and a full day head are forward and characterize an excellent use of space. Nearby, a formal dining area accommodates eight guests.
Below, Viking masterfully arranged six luxuriously chic staterooms, each with its own private head and shower, that combine traditional and modern elements.
The full beam master suite, which would easily be right at home on a superyacht, features a king size walk-around bed, a walk-in closet, a dressing table, and his and her private facilities.
Crew quarters are aft with access from the cockpit. The full beam area includes a head with a shower, a small galley area, and upper and lower berths in a private cabin.
