From buzz-worthy new yacht debuts to meaningful conversations with qualified buyers, HMY Yacht Sales reflects on a successful five days in Fort Lauderdale.
The 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show has officially wrapped, leaving HMY Yacht Sales with plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the months and years ahead. Held October 28 through November 1, FLIBS once again brought together yacht manufacturers, industry professionals, and boating enthusiasts from around the world.
Despite periods of rainy weather, enthusiasm on the docks remained strong. Across HMY's brokerage display and the new yacht manufacturers represented by our team, the show delivered consistent activity, productive conversations, and genuine interest from qualified buyers.
HMY’s Director of Sales, Tim Derrico, said the quality of attendees was among the most encouraging aspects of this year's event.
"We saw really good activity across the board, with quality customers and prospects who were genuinely engaged," said Derrico. "The rain didn't keep serious buyers away, and there was a positive outlook among both customers and manufacturers. We expect the return on investment from this show to be strong in the coming months."
For HMY, that sentiment captures what makes the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show such an important yachting event. Beyond the excitement of five days on the docks, the relationships established and conversations started often develop into opportunities long after the show concludes.
New Yacht Debuts and Standout Displays
In addition to the encouraging activity, FLIBS 2026 featured an impressive collection of new models, premieres, and award-winning designs. Several of the industry's most anticipated debuts took place at displays supported by HMY Yacht Sales.

Building Momentum Beyond the Show
While new model introductions and impressive displays generated excitement throughout the week, perhaps the most meaningful takeaway from FLIBS 2026 was the overall confidence felt across the industry.
From first-time conversations to reconnecting with existing clients, HMY's team experienced strong engagement with customers who were actively exploring their next boating opportunities. That interest extended across both new yacht offerings and the brokerage market, reinforcing the value of HMY's diverse inventory, experienced sales professionals, and extensive industry relationships.
