OKEAN Yachts 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht – The Queen of the OKEAN Line

By HMY Contributor   December 3, 2020

OKEAN Yachts has been smashing barriers and pushing boundaries since they rolled the 50’ Flybridge Motor Yacht off the production line in 2017. Three years later, here we are again, but in a bigger package.

The new OKEAN Yachts 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht is the latest from the groundbreaking Brazilian builder and designer Paolo Ferragni, and is already receiving well-deserved global attention, including recently being awarded “Revelation of the Year” at World Yachts Trophies 2020 in Cannes.

The combination of modern aesthetics, lavish appointments, advanced technology, creative layout, ease of use, safety, and purposeful connection with the natural environment make the newest OKEAN model unlike any flybridge motor yacht on the market.

The OKEAN 80 Flybridge Motor Yacht was developed around the layout of decks and the innovative use of space, creating diverse environments for leisure and socializing. Whether at sea or at the dock, OKEAN Yachts are designed to provide an exceptional experience.

The biggest yacht in the OKEAN lineup to date—which includes a nearly 20’ beam—she still features the innovative “Open Up Your World” folding balcony design. Which, when combined with the large windows, large sliding double doors on both sides, and the transformer platform transom, generate spaces in which the threshold between the interior and the exterior dissolves, giving an even greater sense of freedom and connection with the sea. The main deck is all on the same level, joining the salon and aft deck, and the large front windows allow undisturbed sightlines out to the bow’s large sun pad lounge area. All of which gives an even greater feeling of spaciousness.

The main aft deck offers a lounge, a dining table, and access to the stern from port and starboard, where a beach club can be set up—something rarely seen on yachts in this size range. There, a rear door opens to reveal a sofa and two armchairs, and this same door serves as a cover for those who prefer shade.

However, one of the biggest highlights of this magnificent motor yacht is the massive flybridge. It’s the total width of the beam, is a generous 522 square feet, and can be divided into five separate environments, with another large lounging area with sun pads, a full wet bar with sink and refrigerator, a large covered dining table, space aft for lounge chairs, and the central helm station towards the bow with three adjustable helm seats. This arrangement provides the perfect balance of socialization and a comfortable separation of spaces.

Even when you’re lounging in the spacious, modern interior of the 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht, the strong interaction with the environment never ceases, as the two are nearly one. The salon, galley, and dining area provide a 360-degree view and the layout can also be customized to the owner's unique preferences.

Below deck you’ll find four staterooms—including a remarkably large master cabin—for up to eight guests. To add an extra dose of entertainment options, one of the rooms can be converted into a home theater. Throughout, there’s ample daylight thanks to the large panoramic windows in the hull sides.

There are five total heads on the OKEAN 80’ Flybridge, including a day head.

The crew cabin is also on the lower deck and has separate access. It can accommodate up to three crew members and includes a crew galley.

In addition to the striking, innovative design details, the OKEAN 80’s construction is driven by advances in building technology and materials.

The fuel efficient, semi-displacement hull is designed with the Dual Mode system, which allows a smooth transition between displacement, rapid displacement, and planing modes.

State-of-the-art materials, such as Kevlar and carbon fiber, make the vessel light, resistant, and economical with an extremely solid and trustworthy feel.

The pair of MAN 1550 HP engines power this sleek 80’ motor yacht to a top speed of 26 knots. At a cruising speed of 18 knots, it has a range of 300 nautical miles and every second on the water is steady and comfortable thanks to the Seakeeper gyro stabilized.

The remarkable modern design, seemingly infinite space, connection with the environment, and exquisite attention to detail have made OKEAN’s newest fleet addition an instant must-have.
