"ELYSIAN is a great example of how the auction format can deliver results for well-maintained, quality yachts. Working alongside HMY, we were able to generate strong buyer interest through the preview period and create the competitive environment that led to a successful sale. Owners and brokers continue to see the value of a defined timeline and transparent process - it brings urgency and clarity to what can otherwise be a prolonged sales cycle."

ABOUT BOATHOUSE AUCTIONS

Boathouse Auctions is a purpose-built, online auction platform dedicated exclusively to high-quality yachts. The model combines the strengths of traditional brokerage with the advantages of a defined timeline and the competitive urgency of auction-style bidding. By bringing qualified buyers together at the same time, Boathouse Auctions helps sellers achieve in a matter of weeks what can often take many months–or even years–on the open market, significantly reducing ongoing costs.

Working closely with the listing brokerage, each vessel is extensively marketed while the broker’s role and relationship with the seller remain unchanged. Boathouse Auctions never charges fees to sellers. Buyers complete their due diligence during a four-week preview period, then participate in a real-time, online bidding event. Prospective buyers must first qualify by placing a deposit into escrow.

Every sale to the highest bidder is final and unconditional, with closing typically completed in 30 days or less. Boathouse Auctions brings the market directly to the seller and is compensated via a Buyer’s Premium paid by the successful purchaser.
