As we move into the summer boating season, the yacht market continues to find its footing in a more normalized environment. While overall activity has moderated from the unprecedented highs of recent years, demand remains strong for quality late-model inventory, particularly among premium brands and sought-after models.
One segment that continues to stand out is the sportfishing market. Large, late-model Viking Yachts remain highly active, with an 82 Convertible, 72 Convertible, and 66 Convertible all currently under contract through HMY. These transactions reflect the continued demand for turnkey, well-maintained yachts in the upper end of the market.

The new-build sector is also showing impressive strength. HMY currently has 15 new Viking Yachts on order, underscoring buyer confidence in premier brands and the long-term value they offer. On the motor yacht side, HMY delivered three new Princess Yachts during the month of May alone. The 80-foot segment continues to be one of the strongest categories in today's market. HMY has four additional 80’ Princess deliveries scheduled in the coming months, highlighting this size’s ongoing popularity among discerning owners.

As temperatures rise and boating activity increases, demand for premium center consoles has also accelerated. Buyers are actively pursuing top-tier brands such as Valhalla Boatworks, SeaVee, and Bahama, with many owners looking to maximize their time on the water throughout the summer season. The versatility, performance, and ease of ownership offered by these brands continue to make them highly desirable options.
Beyond yacht sales, owner experiences remain a cornerstone of the HMY philosophy. Recent events brought together customers and team members throughout some of the industry's most celebrated destinations. HMY was proud to participate in the Princess Owners Holiday at Ocean Reef Club, the Viking Key West Challenge, and the HMY Lowcountry Cup in Charleston. These events provide owners with the opportunity to connect with fellow boating enthusiasts while creating unforgettable experiences on the water.

As we move through summer, the HMY team is excited to welcome customers to the upcoming Summer Princess Owners Holiday in Block Island, continuing a tradition of bringing together the Princess community in some of the most beautiful cruising destinations along the East Coast.
In addition, HMY Yachts is excited to host MJM's She's the Captain on July 11 at Bahia Mar Marina in Fort Lauderdale. Designed to empower women through hands-on boating instruction, this unique event gives participants the opportunity to build confidence at the helm aboard MJM yachts under the guidance of experienced female captains. Unlike traditional classroom-based courses, She's the Captain focuses on real-world experience on the water, covering essential skills such as docking, boat handling, navigation, safety, and decision-making. With small group instruction, personalized coaching, refreshments, and special gifts, this exclusive event offers an engaging and supportive environment for women looking to strengthen their boating knowledge and skills.

Looking ahead to the summer months, many owners are already putting plans into motion for extended cruising. We're seeing yachts head north toward Long Island Sound, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and other New England destinations, while those remaining in South Florida are taking advantage of easy access to the Bahamas and surrounding islands. Whether cruising the Northeast coast or enjoying turquoise waters closer to home, owners are finding plenty of opportunities to make the most of the season on the water.
This summer, the ECLIPSE 505 Shadow will head north to New England, offering prospective owners the opportunity to experience this striking 50-foot performance cruiser in one of the country’s most iconic boating destinations. Available for private showings in the Newport, Rhode Island area, the 505 Shadow will give buyers a firsthand look at its bold design, refined onboard spaces, and versatile outboard-powered performance. For those spending the season in New England or exploring their next yacht ahead of the fall show season, this is a unique opportunity to step aboard and see what sets ECLIPSE apart.
