Eclipse 505 Production Commences in Cape Town
Cape Town, South Africa - September 2023 - Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing, based in Cape Town, South Africa, is thrilled to announce significant progress in the production of their groundbreaking outboard Express Cruiser, the ECLIPSE 505.
Last year, Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing announced HMY Yacht Sales as the worldwide dealer for their revolutionary ECLIPSE model line, which includes the ECLIPSE 505 and ECLIPSE 605. These models embody a fresh perspective in terms of concept, engineering, technology, and design, promising to reshape the yachting industry's perception of the Express Cruiser.
At the crossroads of luxury cruising and performance, the ECLIPSE 505 is making waves. It boasts unprecedented speed and seakeeping capabilities within the cruising segment, thanks to Michael Peters Yacht Design’s innovative and proven SVVT (Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel) hull, paired exclusively with Mercury 600hp V12 outboard engines.
The 505 interiors have been masterfully sculpted and appointed by Design Unlimited of the U.K. allowing the ECLIPSE 505 a spacious two-stateroom, two-head layout with flush deck entertaining spaces typically reserved for larger yachts and redefining industry standards. With meticulous attention to detail and custom-level build quality, this 50-foot cruiser stands as a symbol of excellence.
Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing has achieved all significant pre-production milestones in the ECLIPSE 505 design/development process. As of the second week of September, the full production line start for the 505 model has commenced. Two identical 505 hull molds were produced to streamline production, therefore hull 001 is already in layup in 505 Hull Mold 1 and hull 002’s layup will begin without delay in 505 Hull Mold 2.
Anticipation is running high, with the first ECLIPSE 505 scheduled to launch for sea trials in Cape Town, South Africa early in the second quarter of 2024. This momentous achievement represents a significant step forward in delivering this exceptional yachting experience to eager enthusiasts worldwide.
