Start off the South Carolina Governor’s Cup Billfish Series with the Charleston Billfish Invitational Tournament, formerly known as the Bohicket Invitational Billfish Tournament. As the first tournament of the South Carolina Governor’s Cup Billfish Series, the Charleston Billfish Invitational ushers in a wave of great excitement from participants and spectators alike. Just last year, this tournament experienced a record breaking blue marlin bite with the most blue marlin ever released during a single tournament in the history of the Gov Cup. Along with a name change, there is a change of venue. Due to renovations at the Bohicket Marina, the Charleston Billfish Invitational will be held at Seabreeze Marina in Downtown Charleston. Seabreeze Marina boasts brand new concrete floating docks, 3 phase 480V power and a stunning view of the Cooper River Bridge. The Charleston Billfish Invitational is a great event for families to kick off the summer season.
