Viking Sport Cruisers

In 1995, an exclusive relationship between Viking Yachts and Princess Yachts International of Plymouth, England was forged with the goal of distributing Princess yachts into the American market under the Viking Sport Cruisers brand. Beginning in 1996, Viking was highly successful in subsequent years distributing these British-built, high end cruising yachts from 30 to 88 meters — built to Viking's specifications — through its dealer network in North American. In 2010, Viking Sport Cruisers and Princess Yachts announced that, beginning with the 2011 model year, yachts built for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean would be branded as Princess Yachts America in those markets, with Viking Sport Cruisers continuing as the sole distributor and providing sales and service support for customers while maintaining the same high level of spare parts inventory in its New Gretna, New Jersey facility. During these years, Princess Yachts grew to become one of the true titans of the British boating industry. In all, Viking delivered over 500 Sport Cruisers in the North American market before Princess began distributing its products in the U.S. under the Princess America brand in 2011.
