Length w/ Pulpit:
Introduced in 1997, the Trophy 2802 Walkaround is a beefy full-transom 28-footer whose heavy-duty construction and affordable price appealed to boaters seeking a capable, entry-level fishing boat. Forget the Bayliner namethis popular model holds her own with boats that cost a whole lot more. With her wide 9'9"" beam, the 2802 is a roomy boat with plenty of cockpit space for fishing or entertaining. Note that the cockpit is very deepdeeper, in fact, than many larger boats. Standard features include a molded bow pulpit with roller, 34-gallon livewell, bait prep station, trim tabs, in-deck fish boxes, fresh/saltwater washdowns, aft-facing jump seats, cockpit bolsters, teak-and-holly cabin sole, cockpit rod storage, gunnel rod holders, cockpit lights, and transom door. Below, the 2802s roomy interior features an enclosed standup head with shower, small galley to port, and a convertible U-shaped settee forward. Theres also a pilot berth aft, under the raised bridge deck. The finish is very good for a so-called price boat. Twin Mercury 225hp outboards cruise in the high 20s (about 40 knots top).
