The Southport 292 is an updated version of the Southport 28/29 produced in 200515. This second-generation platform is built on the same Hunt-designed hull of the original 29 with new deck plans, an updated console, and a larger T-top. Offered in two configurations, the cruise-friendly 292 FE (Family Edition) has forward seating with an adjustable-height table that converts to a sun lounge (or casting platform), forward console seat, and an optional entertainment center with electric grill and refrigerator. The 292 TE (Tournament Edition) has a 157-gallon coffin box forward of the console, removable aft deck fish box, and fully equipped bait prep station. Where the FE has a single transom door, the TE has dual doors allowing anglers to walk a fish around the outboards. Additional features include an acrylic windshield with wiper, hardtop with tricolor LEDs, aft-facing cockpit seats, and a spacious standup head in the console with Marinedeck cabin sole, solid-surface countertop, and stainless steel freshwater sink. Built on a variable deadrise deep-V hull with a reverse transom, twin Yamaha F300 outboards reach a top speed of 45+ knots.
