Largest of the Formula Performance Cruiser (PC) fleet in the late 1980s, the 35 PC is a roomy family express cruiser with a still-attractive profile and a comfortable midcabin interior layout. Construction is solid fiberglass, and her deep-V hull is designed with prop pockets to reduce the draft and shaft angles. Below, the PC’s wide-open floorplan includes a superb U-shaped galley area—still among the best found in any express boat this size—and a step-down midcabin with facing settees that convert into a big double bed at night. There’s a centerline island berth in the forward stateroom (with a draw curtain for nighttime privacy), and the quality fabrics, hardware, furnishings, and appliances were considered first rate in their day. The cockpit is arranged with a big L-shaped lounge opposite the helm and foldaway bench seating at the transom. Additional features include side-dumping exhausts, a transom door, bow pulpit, radar arch, and swim platform. Accessed via a motorized hatch lift, twin 340hp MerCruiser gas engines (with V-drives) will cruise the Formula 35 PC at 21–22 knots and reach a top speed of around 30 knots.
