The Crownline 330 CR is a modern midcabin express from a company best known for its popular series of bowriders and runabouts. Built on a conventional modified-V hull with moderate beam and transom deadrise, she was yet another entry in the highly competitive family cruiser market dominated by Bayliner, Cruisers and Sea Ray. The interior of the Crownline 330 seems surprisingly open and spacious—a visual reaction to the absence of a forward stateroom bulkhead and the cabin’s extraordinary headroom. Curtains separate both sleeping areas from the salon, and the large U-shaped settee and long galley combine with some excellent fit and finish to make this a very comfortable and notably upscale interior. On deck, there’s seating for seven in the cockpit along with a built-in wet bar and removable dinette. Additional features include an electrically operated engine hatch, a vented windshield with a centerline walk-through for bow access, and a separate bolt-on stern platform wide enough to handle a PWC. Standard 260hp MerCruiser sterndrives cruise at 17–18 knots and reach top speeds in excess of 30 knots. Optional 310hp Mercs cruise at 24–25 knots (about 40 knots top).
