Vessel Overview

Description

“HO'OLULU” is a Viking 55’ sport fisherman convertible built in 1999 in New Gretna, NJ. She is built of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), has a modified V-hull with hard chines, flush foredeck, raised cabin with flybridge, open cockpit, and square transom with tuna door. The vessel is powered by twin Mann 1200 HP turbo diesels and holds 1,579 gallons of fuel and 225 gallons of fresh water. On deck forward is a molded bow pulpit with anchor roller hawse pipe leading to chain locker, electric anchor windless, centerline tender cradle, and three aluminum-framed acrylic watertight hatches. The foredeck is surrounded by stainless steel railings. Narrow walkways lead aft around the cabin and step down into the cockpit, which has under-deck fish holds, Pomanette fighting chair, and built-in gunwale rod holders. The forward side of the cockpit is arranged, from port to starboard, with flybridge ladder, rigging station with top-loading bait freezer, electric grill, access hatch to the engine room, sliding cabin entry door, and built-in storage cabinet. The flybridge is arranged with steering console offset to starboard, with full engine controls and instrumentation. Aft of the console are two backed pedestal chairs for the helmsman and crew. On the port side of the flybridge, a passageway leads forward past an inward facing bench seat, and there is a built-in icebox and retractable freshwater spray head in the forward port corner. There is a large L-shaped seating area located forward of the console, and all of the bench seating opens for storage. The console has a port side door for access to console wiring and electronics installations. The welded aluminum pipe-framed flybridge hardtop has five built-in rocket launcher rod holders. The flybridge has an isinglass enclosure forward and on each side. The vessel’s interior has three private cabins and two enclosed heads with showers. The heads have Corian counters with molded sinks, walk-in shower stalls, and Vacuflush commodes. The guest suite is forward, with a walk-around queen pedestal berth, cabinets above on each side and hanging locker in the aft port corner. There is a door to enclosed head at the aft starboard corner. Walking aft to port is the master suite, with queen berth aft and in-suite head forward. Opposite the master suite to starboard is the crew cabin with built-in stacked longitudinal single berths and a door forward to the head that is shared with the forward guest cabin. There is a large storage closet at the aft side of the crew cabin for rod storage. Walking aft from the crew cabin is a closet to starboard with a full-sized stacked washer/dryer, followed by four steps leading up to the salon area. The main salon is arranged with a U-shaped galley to port, with under-counter Sub Zero reefer and freezer drawers, three- burner glass stovetop with convection/microwave above, Corian counters, and composite sink. Opposite the galley to starboard is a built-in L-shaped settee with teak and Corian dining table. Aft of the dining area, along the starboard side, is a longitudinal entertainment center with ice maker. In the aft starboard corner is the main electrical panel. Opposite the entertainment center to port is an L-shaped cream-colored leather lounge with teak cocktail table. All
