The Wellcraft 29 Scarab Sport (called the 29 CCF in 2003–04) is a high-performance center console for anglers who want to get where they’re going in a hurry. Her stepped hull is a variation of the original Scarab race boat hull with a keel pad added for increased lift. Construction is solid fiberglass, and the single-level deck plan of the Scarab Sport provides a completely unobstructed fishing platform bow to stern. A 37-gallon livewell is built into the port side of the transom, and a bait prep station with sink and cutting board is to starboard. There are four insulated fish boxes with pumpouts, two in the aft deck and one on each side of the console. The walk-in console houses a marine head in addition to a sink, handheld shower, and two opening ports for ventilation. Additional features include pull-up cleats, dive ladder, cockpit bolsters, heavy-duty trim tabs, five in-deck insulated fish boxes, tilt steering, leaning post with standup bolster, T-top with radio box, anchor locker, fresh/raw-water washdowns, and a foldaway transom seat. Twin 225hp Mercury outboards deliver a top speed of over 45 knots.
