The Viking 65 is one of the few cockpit motor yachts that isnt simply a cockpit version of a previously existing motor yacht model. Constructed on a fully cored, modified-V hull, she was viewed as a bold and rakish design back the early 1990s when Euro-style yachts were then becoming the rage. Her opulent four-stateroom floorplan is arranged with a vast deckhouse salon with port and starboard wing doors, a day head, and curved staircases leading up to the bridge and down to the master stateroom, utility room (with washer/dryer), and the huge engine room. A king-size bed and walk-in closet are found in the master suite, and there are three staterooms forward, one of which serves as crew quarters. A mirrored bulkhead with a pass-through window separates the eat-in galley from the salon, and the enclosed pilothouse is fitted with twin deck access doors. Outside, a small aft deck overlooks the roomy 92-square-foot cockpit with its storage lockers and transom door. The flybridge is large enough to entertain a party-sized crowd. Standard 1,000hp MAN diesels cruise the 65 Cockpit MY at 21 knots and deliver 2324 knots wide open.
