The dominant sport fishing yacht in this class, the Viking 55 Convertible follows in the footsteps of the company’s best selling 55 Convertible built in 1998–2001. Her luxurious teak interior includes three staterooms and two heads with a laundry center. A choice of salon floorplans offers an island or peninsula-style galley with under-counter refrigeration. The elegant salon has an L-shaped settee aft, and the galley forward with a bar that can either be a peninsula or an island. The en suite master is to starboard with a twin-berth guest cabin directly across to port. The salon is reached through an electrical sliding door in the cockpit that opens at the push of a button. Like most modern convertibles this size, a mezzanine deck with lounge seating (with cooler under) overlooks the Viking 55’s huge 155-square-foot cockpit with its two in-deck fish boxes, two freezers and copious storage. The flybridge is available in two configurations: a traditional setup with forward access to starboard or a center-console layout with forward access on both sides. A fast ride, the Viking 55 will cruise at 35 knots (40+ top) with 1,550hp MAN V12 diesels.
