One of the few flybridge convertibles under 45 feet produced in recent years, the Viking 44 is a top-tier sport fishing yacht with the sleek styling characteristics common to larger Viking convertibles. A broad 16'4"" beam results in unusually spacious interior dimensions for a boat this size. Up a few steps from the cockpit, the teak-trimmed salon features an L-shaped dinette, an L-shaped lounge and a step-down galley forward with an integrated breakfast bar and two bar stools. Below, the amidship master stateroom has an island double berth and private head with enclosed shower, and the bow guest cabin has bunk-type berths with a single over and double below. With over 100 square feet of fishing space, the cockpit comes standard with a transom livewell, refrigerated step box, transom door with gate, in-deck storage and tackle storage. Mezzanine bench seating to starboard overlooks the cockpit. The 44C’s wide beam is also seen on the flybridge where the centerline helm features a teak pod, single-lever controls and seating port, starboard and forward. Built with performance in mind, twin 1,000hp Volvo D13 diesels cruise at 30 knots (mid 30s top).
