A highly regarded boat in her day with tons of eye appeal, the Viking 41 is an upscale, tournament-level sportfisherman with classic convertible styling and Viking’s signature leading-edge construction. She’s built on a beamy modified-V hull with a sharp entry, a well-flared bow, and balsa coring in the hullsides. Several floorplans were offered over the years; the two-stateroom layouts were always the most popular although the single-stateroom arrangement with a full dinette also sold well. Indeed, with its wide-open dinette and galley this floorplan gives the interior of the Viking 41 the appearance of a much larger boat. The matched teak woodwork, expensive hardware, and decorator fabrics presented an upscale and very sophisticated impression. Outside, the large and unobstructed cockpit is fitted with in-deck fish boxes and a tackle center as standard equipment. The side decks are very wide, and the flybridge will seat six easily. Fast and agile and possessing good seakeeping characteristics, the Viking 41 Convertible will turn an honest 30 knots wide open and cruise at 26 knots with the 485hp 6-71 diesels.
