A near-classic design, the Topaz 32 is a rugged offshore fishing machine whose bold styling and versatile layout made her a popular boat with East Coast anglers for many years. She rides on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam and considerable flare at the bow. The 32s spacious cockpit is reinforced to handle a fighting chair. An in-deck removable fish box is just forward of the transom, and two roomy storage bins are also built into the cockpit sole. The raised bridge deck provides excellent visibility from the helm, and a hatch between the seats offers good access to the diesel engines. (Note that the entire bridge deck can be raised for major engine work.) Below decks, the 32 can sleep four on a double bunk in the dinette area and in the V-berths up front. The cabin houses a full galley with stove, sink and refrigerator along with an enclosed head with a standup shower. Additional features include wide side decks, bow pulpit, transom door, and generous cabin storage. Note that a bow-high running angle is one of her characteristics. The Topaz 32 was available with a choice of 306hp Volvo or 320hp Cat diesels. Shell cruise in the mid 20s and reach a top speed of close to 30 knots.
