The Topaz 32 Royale incorporates the same dramatic styling and Euro-style profile seen in the popular Topaz 39 Royale (1988–91). Indeed, with her sweeping sheer and curved windshield, the Royale was one of the more stylish express fishing boats of her era. Designed to meet the needs of sportboat enthusiasts as well as the demands of hard-core anglers, the Royale is built on a solid fiberglass hull with generous beam and considerable flare at the bow. The Royale features a bi-level cockpit with the engines located beneath the bridge deck. Visibility from the portside helm position is excellent, and a lounge/dinette opposite provides seating for guests and anglers. The aft cockpit is large enough for a fighting chair and includes an in-deck fish box. Below, the cabin is arranged with a convertible dinette forward, a standup head with shower, and a compact galley area. A bow pulpit was standard, and most Royales were delivered with a hardtop and generator. No lightweight, 320hp Cat diesels cruise at 20 knots and top out around 25 knots. Larger 375hp Cats cruise in the low 20s and reach a top speed of 26–27 knots. The Royale’s brief production run was the result of Topaz going out of business in the early 1990s.
