A good-looking small boat with a rakish profile, the Tollycraft 30 is an appealing combination of smart styling, quality construction, and a space-efficient interior. The accommodations are impressive for a 30-footer and include a full-size dinette, a surprisingly roomy galley, and a standup head with shower. A two-piece door provides privacy for the forward stateroom, and a lower helm was standard in the salon. On deck, there’s room in the cockpit for a couple of light-tackle anglers, and a hatch in the cockpit sole provides good access to the engines and V-drives. The flybridge—one of the largest to be found on any 30-footer—has a settee, a centerline helm position, and bench seating for four. On the downside, the side decks are very narrow and cabin storage space is at a premium. Additional features include a transom door, swim platform, teak interior woodwork, and a bow pulpit. Built on Tollycraft’s efficient Quadra-Lift hull, standard 260hp MerCruiser gas engines cruise the 30 Sport Cruiser at 22–23 knots and reach a top speed in the high 20s. Note that the fuel capacity was increased in 1988 from 150 to 198 gallons.
