The 2010 introduction of the 4800 Convertible marked Tiara’s entry into the market for serious sportfishing convertibles—a major departure for a company best known for its series of world-class sport cruisers. Heavily built, beautifully styled, and featuring a posh three-stateroom interior, the 4800 Convertible is a match for the best flybridge boats in her class. The salon is bright and airy with large side and rear windows, an Ultraleather L-lounge (with pull-out sleeper), and aft entertainment center. The full-service galley features two drawer-style refrigerator/freezer units, and a flat screen TV hides away in the entertainment cabinet to starboard. The lower level of the 4800 Convertible includes a forward guest cabin with an offset double berth below and single berth above. This is the first Tiara model to feature mezzanine seating as well as molded steps up to the flybridge. The lower cockpit includes as standard an aluminum backing plate for a fighting chair, twin insulated in-floor storage boxes with hinged split lids, and inward opening transom door and gate. A transom livewell and swim platform are optional. Cat 1015hp C18 diesels cruise at 30 knots (mid 30s top).
