Introduced in 2007, the Tiara 3000 Open is a multipurpose express yacht built to the highest industry standards. This is a boat that splits the difference between luxury family cruiser and offshore fishing boat, a claim often made by boat manufacturers but seldom really attained. With her tall windshield, integrated hardtop and distinctive reverse transom, the 3000 Open strikes many as being larger than 30 feet. A wide 12'6"" beam results in a big cockpit with two in-sole fish/storage boxes, foldaway transom seat, fresh and raw water washdowns, and transom bait prep station. Like most express boats of this type, the bridge deck lifts electrically for engine access. Below, the Tiara’s well-appointed cabin is arranged with facing leather settees, teak/maple dinette table, offset double berth forward, and galley aft. Note the sculptured overhead lighting and handsome teak-and-holly floor. There’s no shower stall in the head, but there is a wall-mounted shower fixture and curtain—very nice. Helm visibility is better by far than many express boats. Hardtop and windshield vents are a plus. Cruise at 22–24 knots with 385hp gas inboards (low-to-mid 30s top).
