Introduced in 1996, the 630 Sundancer took Sea Ray’s concept of luxury in the fast lane to an unprecedented level. She wasn’t just the largest Sea Ray yacht produced to date, she was the only one to employ surface drives to reduce drag and boost top speed. Built on a fully cored hull with moderate beam and an integrated transom, the 630 Sundancer remains a visually impressive yacht even by today’s standards. Below, a luxurious leather sofa containing an electrically operated slide-out bed is the focal point of the roomy salon. The master stateroom is forward with a centerline queen, and both VIP staterooms have private heads and separate showers. Note the salon day head and home-size galley with hardwood flooring, serving bar and stools. A giant 27-foot cockpit sets the stage for every conceivable amenity from the circular, raised sun pad aft to the deluxe entertainment center with wet bar, refrigerator, icemaker and CD changer. Additional features include Corian counters and sinks, central vacuum system, foredeck sun pad, bow thruster, and twin transom doors. Expect a top speed of close to 45 knots with 3412 Caterpillar diesels matched to Arneson surface drives.
