Not remembered for her spectacular styling, the Sea Ray 300 Sedan Bridge (called the 305 Sedan Bridge when she was introduced in 1988) is long on interior accommodations but way short on sex appeal. (Indeed, her ungainly styling probably had something to do with her unusually brief two-year production run.) Built on a solid fiberglass hull with propeller pockets and a wide 12-foot beam, the interior accommodations are very spacious for a boat this size. With a midcabin stateroom tucked beneath the dinette, the 300 Sedan Bridge can boast two private staterooms in addition to a roomy salon with a full-size galley. The athwartships double-berth arrangement in the forward stateroom is innovative in its use of space, and the concealed galley is particularly appealing. The head is located aft in the salon, just inside the companionway door, where access from the outside is most convenient. While the cockpit is very small, the extended flybridge is exceptionally large for a boat this size. Standard 260hp MerCruiser gas engines (with V-drives) will cruise the Sea Ray 300 Sedan Bridge in the low 20s and develop a top speed of around 28–29 knots.
