A handsome yacht with a modern trawler profile, the Sabreline 47 Aft Cabin is a lengthened version of the Sabreline 43 Aft Cabin with the extra hull length used to enlarge the 47’s aft stateroom and cockpit dimensions. Like all Sabreline models, she rides on a fully cored semi-V hull (rather than a semi-displacement hull normally found on most trawler-style designs) with moderate beam, a well-flared bow, and a shallow keel. While she isn’t a notably spacious boat below (thanks in part to her wide side decks), the 47’s two-stateroom, galley-down interior is a classic blend of solid teak (or mahogany) cabinets, quality hardware, and attractive vinyl overheads. There are two sliding deck doors in the salon, and the aft cabin—with a total of nine opening ports—provides direct access to the large cockpit. Additional features include side-dumping exhausts, a spacious flybridge with the helm forward (to starboard), folding radar mast, full lower helm, a particularly well-arranged engine room, and separate stall showers in both heads. A comfortable ride, twin 350hp Cat diesels cruise at 15–16 knots. Later models with 420hp Cats cruise at 17–18 knots, and twin 500hp Yanmars cruise at 20 knots.
