Most production trawlers of the past few decades have been built on low-speed, semi-displacement hulls that generally require large engines to exceed 1415 knots. The Sabreline 43 differs from that norm in that shes constructed on a modified-V hull that allows her to run efficiently at much higher speeds than one usually expects of a trawler-style design. Performance aside, the Sabreline 43 is a quality-built double-cabin cruiser with full walkaround decks and extremely comfortable accommodations. The standard galley-down floorplan is available with V-berths or a double berth in the forward stateroom, a lower helm is standard, and both heads are fitted with separate stall showers. Deck access is excellent: There are port and starboard access doors in the salon, a companionway door aft, and a cockpit door in the master stateroom. Solid teak cabinets and a teak-and-holly cabin sole highlight the interior, and prop pockets combine with a shallow keel to protect the running gear. Topside, the spacious flybridge is arranged with an L-shaped dinette abaft the helm. Twin 435hp Cat diesels cruise the Sabreline 43 at 1416 knots and deliver a 20-knot top speed.
