The conservative lines of the Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht set her apart from the more aggressively styled European sportboats of recent years. Built on a modified-V hull with prop pockets to reduce draft, the Riviera 3600’s two-stateroom interior features a fully enclosed salon/pilothouse rather than the open main-deck layout seen in many hardtop yachts. Large side windows provide good helm visibility, and the salon furnishings include a convertible leather settee in addition to a full-service galley, pop-up TV (under the windshield) and teak-and-holly flooring. Accommodation below consists of a master stateroom with island bed, 6’ 7” headroom, and generous storage and hanging space. The guest cabin features an athwartships double bed as well as a single bed running fore and aft. In the cockpit, the settee built into the transom converts into a sun pad. For sun-worshippers, there is a double sun-pad on the foredeck. The engine room, reached via a cockpit hatch, is tight. Note the underwater exhaust system. Cruise in the mid 20s with 370hp Volvo diesels (about 30 knots top). The Riviera 3600 Sport Yacht MK II version introduced in 2009 offers Volvo IPS400 pod drives.
