Introduced in 1999, the Regal 2800 LSR (called the 2900 LSR in 200204) combines the comforts of a spacious cockpit with the excellent performance of Regals then-new FasTrac stepped hull bottom. Its only been in recent years that bowriders this large have made their appearance, and their appeal ranges from day cruisers who simply want more seating capacity to enthusiasts who want the offshore capability only a bigger boat can offer. Either way, the LSR remains an impressive blend of comfort and performance. Key to her appeal is a spacious, user-friendly cockpit. Wraparound seating in the back runs from immediately aft of the drivers seat all the way around to the portside wet bar, offering room for six people to stretch out in comfort. A flip-up helm seat allows for standup driving, and a head compartment is located in the port console, and an electric hatch provides good service access to the engine compartment. An extended swim platform was a popular option. Among several engine options, a single 310hp Volvo sterndrive will cruise the 2800/2900 LSR at 30 knots and reach a top speed in excess of 40 knots.
