The 2005 introduction of the Pursuit 3480 (called the C 340 in 2007–10) marked the company’s entry into the field of expensive, tournament-class center consoles. Heavily built on an aggressive deep-V hull with a narrow 9'6"" beam and sharp entry, the flush deck layout of the 3480 provides a completely unobstructed fishing platform from bow to stern. Standard features include an integrated dive platform, leaning post with 52-gallon livewell, extended fiberglass hardtop, cockpit rod storage, recessed bow rails, in-floor fish boxes (4), cockpit bolsters, walk-in console with marine head (note forward entry door), fresh/raw-water washdowns, pop-up cleats, built-in tackle drawers, recessed trim tabs, transom shower, and cockpit lights. Options included a second livewell (aft), molded forward seating, and a folding rear seat. Note that the transom was beefed up in 2008 to handle twin 350hp V-8s. A well-finished boat with tons of eye appeal, the Pursuit 3480 tops out at close to 40 knots with Yamaha F250 4-strokes. Later models powered with twin F350s reach over 45 knots wide open.
