Built by Jeanneau Yachts in France, the Prestige 500 Fly combines distinctive styling with a versatile layout and modern pod-drive propulsion in a yacht most would agree is a lot of boat for the money. This model comes in two versions: The Prestige 500 Fly with flybridge, and the Prestige 500 S with an electrically operated sunroof and transom garage. The very European interior of the 500 Fly offers living space entirely on one level. An open galley aft in the salon is easily accessed from both the interior and exterior. Three staterooms and two heads on the lower level—plus a tiny crew cabin aft—are highlighted by a full-beam owner’s suite with private salon access, large hull side windows, and even a small dinette for two. The VIP stateroom, forward, has an island double that converts to form V-berths, while the third, twin-berth, stateroom comes with a filler. Accessed by an open staircase, the extra-large flybridge features a spacious forward sundeck, helm station with seating for two, galley, and large table. The extended hydraulic swim platform has room for a small crowd. Fuel capacity is on the light side for a 50-foot boat. Volvo 435hp IPS600 pod drives cruise the Prestige 500 Fly at 22–24 knots (high 20s top).
