With her modern lines and roomy accommodations, the Hatteras 52 Motor Yacht took cruising comfort and versatility to the next level when she was introduced in 1993. The most striking feature of the Hatteras 52 is her huge aft deck, a vast entertainment platform available from the factory as a fully enclosed, furnished and air-conditioned second salon with wing doors. Below, the standard three-stateroom interior of the Hatteras 52 includes three heads below, two with separate stall showers. The main salon, three steps down from the aft deck, features a U-shaped sofa and coffee table, upholstered chair, and complete entertainment center. Wraparound windows provide panoramic views of the water, and the mid-level galley forward is equipped with a home-size refrigerator, convection oven, and garbage disposal. The master and bow staterooms both have queen-size beds and private heads, and the aft guest stateroom has single berths. Additional features include a standup engine room (accessed via the galley stairs), wide side decks, and seating for eight on the large flybridge. No lightweight, standard 720hp 8V92 Detroit diesels cruise at 16–18 knots.
