Designed by Bill Crealock, the Offshore 48 Pilothouse is known for a seakindly hull, comfortable teak interior and—notable for Asian boats of this era—exceptional build quality. Offshore’s trademark full walkaround decks are evident in the 48 as are large, low windows for good sit-down visibility from the pilothouse and salon. Entering the main salon from the large cockpit with steering station, to port is an L-shaped settee and teak hi-lo coffee table. The galley—just forward of the salon settee—features with a pass-thru to the raised pilothouse with its center helm position, settee, port and starboard deck doors, and flybridge access stairs. There are two double staterooms below including a midships master with ensuite head (with tub) and plenty of storage. There is a stacked washer/dryer in the foyer to the staterooms. Hatches in the both the galley and cockpit floors provide access to the engine room. The flybridge is designed with the helm forward and lounge seating aft. The handcrafted teak joinery, quality hardware, and durable fabrics found throughout the interior reflect the high level of workmanship seen throughout this yacht. Cummins 450hp (or Cat 420hp) diesels cruise at 16–18 knots.
