The Ocean 57 Super Sport is an updated version of the Ocean 56 Super Sport (1999–2002) with a reworked running surface, additional transom deadrise, a redesigned helm console, and improved engine room access. Ocean has built a reputation over the years for delivering a lot of boat for the money, and the 57 offers a compelling blend of luxury and performance in addition to value. Her lush three-stateroom interior—unchanged from the 56 Super Sport—compares well with her more expensive competitors in both design and layout. Like many convertibles her size, the salon is set on two levels with the galley and dinette forward. Both the master and forward guest staterooms have ensuite heads, and a washer/dryer is positioned just aft of the day head. The high-gloss cherry woodwork found throughout the 57’s interior is remarkably well finished. The cockpit includes all the expected fishing amenities, and there’s seating for a small crowd on the huge flybridge. (Note that an enclosed bridge was optional.) Standard 1,015hp Cats cruise at 28–30 knots, and optional 1,300hp Cats cruise in the low 30s and reach 35+ knots top.
